If you want to make your data collection system more efficient and accurate but do not want to give up the secure feeling that paper tally sheets provide, a field computing system from Juniper Systems is just what you need.
Data can be hand-keyed directly into a field computer or collected by scanning bar code templates which emulate your paper tally forms. Data can also be collected via digital calipers, laser range finders, electronic balances, and GPS receivers. These data are validated, displayed, and stored in the field computer, which does the tedious tallying and number crunching. Data can be transferred directly into your desktop computer, eliminating costly transcription errors. Reports can be generated immediately.

You expect ruggedness, reliability, and flexibility from our Allegro line of field computers. The Allegro CX Field PC is still available to meet your field data collection needs. It is built to perform in the most demanding environments.
Features include a fast Intel XScale 400 MHz processor, Windows CE .Net V4.2, wireless capability with integrated Bluetooth, and a color display option that is highly visible in direct sunlight. The Allegro CX features 62 large keys that are can be used easily with gloved hands. It weighs only 1.8 lbs. The rechargeable battery operates for more than 14 hours on one charge.

Integrate Additional Features With Expansion Pods
Expansion Pods allow you to integrate additional sensors, while maintaining the waterproof and dustproof integrity of the rugged unit. All the expansions listed below can be integrated on the Allegro CE or the Allegro CX. The only expansion pod compatible with the Allegro DOS or Allegro DOS/CE is the GPS expansion pod.
Bar Code Scanner Expansion Pod
The Bar Code Scanner Expansion Pod offers the convenience of scanning bar codes in a single handheld unit. The high performance Bar Code Scanner features: the ability to scan in outdoor bright light, to scan bar codes 1-3 feet away, low power consumption, and the compatibility with nine different bar code symbologies (included with the bar code expansion pod.)
802.11b Expansion Pod
Used with your Allegro CX or Allegro CE, the 802.11b Expansion Pod offers the flexibility and benefits of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). The 802.11b Expansion Pod features superior range and throughput, secure network communications, and is suitable for international use.
Bar Code Scanner with 802.11b
The Bar Code Scanner with 802.11b integrates WLAN and bar code scanner together in one expansion pod. Once the scanned data are stored in the Allegro, the data are transferred to a central hub via 802.11b. Combing these two technologies adds versatility and usability to your Allegro.
GPS Expansion Pod
The GPS Expansion Pod integrates the Trimble Lassen LP receiver with your Allegro. A magnetic, compact, 3.3V active micropatch antenna and bracket is mounted on the top of the Allegro. This expansion pod enables you to receive GPS positions that are used in conjunction with many GIS/GPS packages.
Expansion Pod Retrofit
The expansion pod can be added onto your Allegro if you want to add capability to your previously purchased unit. You should call for a RMA number to request the expansion pod retrofit.
